By creating an account or using VocalMetric (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VocalMetric is an experimental voice-based wellness monitoring tool. It uses machine learning to analyze audio recordings and provide a probabilistic estimate of vocal patterns associated with impairment. This Service is a prototype and is not a medical device, clinical diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.

3. Not Medical Advice

Results produced by VocalMetric are for informational and research purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Do not make safety-critical decisions (including whether to operate a vehicle or machinery) based solely on VocalMetric results. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

6. Audio Data & Privacy

By using the Service, you consent to the recording, storage, and analysis of audio samples you submit. Audio data is stored securely and associated with your account. You may delete all your audio data at any time from your Settings page. We do not sell your audio data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying machine learning models
• Submit audio recordings of other individuals without their explicit consent
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls

8. Free Tier & Paid Plans

VocalMetric offers a free tier with a limited number of voice checks. Paid plans provide additional checks and features. Paid plan purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VocalMetric and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VocalMetric operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
